About Me
With a degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, I have built a career as a writer/editor, marketing and communications specialist, photographer and graphic designer. My experience ranges from newspaper reporting and corporate communications to content creation and digital marketing management.
I've stood in crop fields in Montana talking to farmers about their hail-damaged crops. I've traveled throughout North America and Europe touring corrugated and folding carton plants for a Chicago-based B2B publication. I've interviewed hospice patients who shared heartfelt stories about their families, pets, travels and hobbies, and I've captured and edited photos and videos of chocolate confections for a small candy company in Maine (where I currently live). I've covered many different topics in many different places, and I've spoken with many different people, but they've all shared one thing in common: they had a story to tell.
As dizzying changes are taking place in the marketing, media and communications space, two points remain constant: 1) Everyone and everything has a story, and; 2) People connect through the sharing of those stories. I am skilled at mining for those stories and communicating them in meaningful and effective ways, thus facilitating connections between people and ideas.
